Need to use latex on OS X? You can find all the necessary stuff <a href="http://www.rna.nl/tex.html">here</a>. 
I dare say you could also fink it; I think the relevant virtual package is osx-tex or some similar name. In any 
case, the above link provides a graphical installer for most of what you'll need.
